“And when you’re with me, you’re still thinking of him. I feel the same way, Alec. I can’t stop thinking about either one of you. I want you both in my life. Brodie said the same thing the other day. It should be the three of us.”
“I have to go,” he said turning away. He walked briskly to the open door and then turned back to her. “You’ll be with Brodie and that’s that.”
He walked out before she could reply, so she addressed her words to the horses in the barn. “I wish they would both stop trying to give me up for the other one, and just accept that they are both going to be mine.”
