“Romance, hmm?” Tory asked with a laugh. “If you think this is romancing, you’ve got a few things to learn, Brodie Fletcher.” In spite of her words, Tory could feel a blush on her cheeks. She was pleased at his attention, she’d admit.
They walked companionably away from the barn and towards the road to camp, Brodie holding Bailey’s lead. “Well, you’re not a typical girl,” Brodie told her. “So, you shouldn’t be romanced in the typical fashion.”
“You’ve got an answer for everything, haven’t you?” Tory answered, chuckling, not minding his smooth flirting. Just because you were good at something didn’t mean it was insincere. “You’re a very practiced flirt.”
“I have practiced, it’s true,” Brodie conceded. “But only so I’d be very good at it when I met a girl like you.”
