I couldn’t face the piteous glances of my family over the holidays after my fiancé Austin unceremoniously dumped me. I was too tame, too awkward, too vanilla, too risk averse. Glad he took five years to figure that out.

I really enjoyed this book… I loved Elle’s character because I could relate to her! Joe was an interesting character. He made me laugh. The romance, steaminess, and adventure made for a really fun book! It’s not your typical Christmas story and I appreciated it being different!

This is the story of two people who find love while batting anxiety, heartbreak, and deep emotional pain. One is in seclusion due to a broken relationship and the other one from tragedy and self imprisonment. It's a well written book with tons of emotions, suspense and danger. The author had me glued to the pages right to the end as she delivers an entertaining story.

Funny heart warming rom-com. Enjoyable characters, entertaining plot and interesting side characters make for an afternoon of fun reading!

Multi-layered

This story has numerous storylines that are seamlessly connected. Elle starts off with such poor self confidence while being self deprecating. I hurt for her. Joe is in hiding for an extended period of time with excellent reasons. This fractured couple help heal each other. The way this story flows and the pacing are smooth and engaging.
