Synopsis

How a young girl with no education formed her own business into a 22 million dollar enterprise and learned many lessons along the way. She shares"If I can do this, you can too." The first step is always the hardest, except for that second step. The third step isn’t much easier. Pretty soon though you learn to run, and then you fall down because you ran too fast. You can pretty much count on getting hurt by running or falling down sometimes. The chances are that you will bump into other people along the way. They might skin their knee too when you unintentionally knock them off balance. Don’t lose your honest self in the process of ownership. No matter how hard life gets, or how short you are on time, take precious seconds to be kind even when you are taking a firm stance. Set boundaries and live within them. Make sure others know where the in-field is. Set new boundaries as you grow. Remember that if a little girl with no formal education can succeed, then you can too. Put your helmet on, buckle your seatbelt, and get your business going.

Author Biography

Lisa Reinicke is the majority holder of Our House Publications and author of 4 published children’s picture books for sale on Amazon and independent book stores. Lisa was honored with the Mom's Choice Gold Award for lifetime literary excellence for her children's book "Wings and Feet in 2017. She is a storyteller and author of 35 children’s stories appearing on local TV shows, elementary schools, and bookstores. The stories have been published in 3 collective recordings for distribution for A Goodnight Sleep Company. She also produced online (virtual) training for service advisors and technicians. Lisa served as head writer and on-camera talent in the videos. Her books are entertaining yet focus on social issues that engage children and parents to discuss. Her four children were all uniquely different ranging from physical differences, adoption, and physiological disorders that lead her following experts in each field to help children overcome the stigma around being different. Lisa passionately works raising money for charities that improve children’s lives physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

A Silent SOS

In Lauren Daigle's song Rescue - I love this particular line, "I hear you whisper underneath your breath I hear your SOS." For all of you whispering an SOS to heaven- know that whisper is heard. Little did I know that when I recently finished this book, that there would be even more twists and turns ahead. I didn't dream I would need to BUCKLE UP even tighter. I encourage everyone reading to stay seated and buckled in on life's journey. Never give up on dreams. Never give up on life Never loosen your grip on turns Know that heaven hears your SOS Don't panic in emergencies Reach for your peace that is inside each of you. Now get back out there on the racetrack and finish the race! You can achieve your dreams.

Shell-shocked is what the state is called. But it is also my MO when dealing with emergencies. A peaceful calm settles in my psyche. Inside my brain, there is no screaming or panic. Calm comes as a civil “matter of fact” reaction that takes over my soul when an emergency arises. Panic would use valuable seconds that I need to evaluate a course of action.
