To Practice Really Seeing
1. Challenge your own assumptions. What aren’t you noticing? For Ian it was color. To see/sense something is to feel and notice it. It may be helpful to know that the process of seeing and sensing does not necessarily include the act of evaluating that which is being sensed.
a. Play the “what color is…” game with yourself or your family. What color is the grass in the field? What color are the windows in that building? What color is a raindrop?
