Cultivating awe of the world and its organic, pulsating, often untidy unfurling is a challenging and always entertaining practice. It is all in allowing the attitude of being amazed to stick, not evaporate or morph into annoyance when the proverbial stuff hits the fan, as it often will, given there are so many energetic entities out there with intentions that may be counter to our own.
Really, think about that for a moment. We all go charging off into our days with our agendas in place, our intentions set. Others have their plans, intentions, and directions. Whether it is with partners or strangers, we may well butt heads against one another. A friend once defined a problem as two separate intentions colliding. Exactly!
Watching the attitudes with which we hold ourselves and present our behaviors and thoughts, consciously choosing them, will help bring inner peace, inner harmony. Inner beauty. We must be responsible for ourselves and our own states of being before we can positively contribute to another’s, let alone take any degree of responsibility for any others’. Common sense, right? And I repeat, as within, so without.
