Mark 8:18
“You have eyes—can't you see? You have ears—can't you hear? Don’t you remember anything at all?”
Beloved: Lord, You have brought me through so many things: depression, destruction, despair, dark times, war, stress, grief. Yes, I’ve gone into those hard things and come out on the other side into times of joy, light, peace, rest, and love—all by Your love and grace. Help me to remember Your faithfulness and to trust You with each new life challenge.
Lover: Don’t you understand yet? I’m Lord of everything! There is nothing outside of My control. I am accomplishing My purposes. You are anxious about many things. Sit at My feet. Learn of My bigger plans and let Me direct your steps. I won’t overload you or give you more than you can bear. I know your frailty. Trust Me to do what is best for you and with you.
1 “This is what the Lord says—the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker: Concerning things to come, do you question me about my children, or give me orders about the work of my hands? 12 It is I who made the earth and created mankind on it. My own hands stretched out the heavens; I marshaled their starry hosts. 13 I will raise up Cyrus in my righteousness: I will make all his ways straight.
He will rebuild my city and set my exiles free, but not for a price or reward, says the Lord Almighty.”
(Isaiah 45:11-13, NIV)
