Psalm 105:1
Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.
Beloved: Shepherd, You have brought me from a depressed, fearful, disorganized person to the well-balanced, calm, hopeful, adventurous, responsible person I am today. I still have my insecurities and moments of despair, but You have been abundantly good to me. Thank You for loving me!
Lover: I work in you as you allow Me. I don’t force My will upon you. However, I do put you in circumstances that cause you to cry out to Me so that you learn to do that and find I always answer, for I am never far from you. Sometimes I warn you of dangers on your way so you will avoid them in more critical circumstances later. Take heed. If you will listen to my warnings, you don’t have to make serious mistakes. I love you and want only the best for you.
8Thank our God, you nations. Make the sound of his praise heard. 9He has kept us alive and has not allowed us to fall. 10You have tested us, O God. You have refined us in the same way silver is refined. 11You have trapped us in a net. You have laid burdens on our backs.
12You let people ride over our heads. We went through fire and water, but then you brought us out and refreshed us. (Psalm 66:8-12, God’s Word)
