Psalm 118:1
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.
Beloved: Here is my Psalm 118, for You.
Even in times when I’ve forgotten You,
Your faithful love endured.
When I’ve sinned, gone my own selfish way,
Your faithful love endured.
When I returned to You in repentance,
Your faithful love endured.
When I went to work for You in my own strength,
Your faithful love endured.
When I broke under the strain,
Your faithful love endured.
When I learned to depend on You more,
Your faithful love endured.
When I returned home to care for my mother in her frailty,
Your faithful love endured.
When I despaired of having any further impact in the wider world,
Your faithful love endured.
And as I seek to live out my calling each day,
Your faithful love endures.
