Did your job just go away?
With the multitude of changes going on these days, many people have been shaken to the core by receiving termination notices or something similar. Where do they turn? How will they pay their bills? Will they have to move? What does the future hold? We all need something stable to hold on to in the midst of storms. God is our refuge and strength in times like this. So, let's pray for those who are struggling, and maybe for yourself. Light overcomes the darkness.

Darkness
L ORD, we pray for those who sit in gloom and darkness like prisoners suffering in chains. They stumble along the way, perhaps rebelling against your words, and no one helps them. In their misery when they cry out to you, LORD, save them from all their troubles. Bring them out of their gloom and darkness and break their chains. Then let them give praise to you, LORD, for your love and for the miracles you do for people. Break their bonds, no matter how solid or how strong.
LORD, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
