Know someone in trouble?
We all know someone who is going through a difficult time. Here is a prayer of protection from Psalm 121 that you can pray for them. I have a friend who may soon be going into hospice. She is in a lot of pain. It is a comfort to me to pray that God protects her from stumbling, guards her from every evil, and watches over her as she passes from this life to the next. Who can you offer this prayer for?

Protection
O ur help comes from you, LORD, who made heaven and earth! Don’t let suffering people stumble, watch over them without closing your eyes. Be the guardian who watches over your people without ever falling asleep.
LORD, watch over your precious ones! Stand beside them as a protective shade, so the sun will not beat down on them during the day nor the moon at night.
LORD, guard them from every evil and protect their lives. Keep watch over them as they come and go, both now and forever.
LORD, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
