O God, you are our refuge and strength, always present to help us. Keep us focused on you, even when our foundations are shaken and our expectations crumble before our eyes. Though the world’s chaos rages, let your presence among us refresh us, secure us, and supply our needs. Though there are turmoil and trouble all around us, we are secure in your fortress. Your power and work continually amaze us. Our focus can wander, so help us to be still and know that you are God: be still and know you; be still; be. In this way we will honor you in our church, our city, our nation, and our world. You are here among us, and we rejoice in that!
LORD, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
