LORD, you have placed us in communities. Sometimes we get along with our neighbors, and sometimes we don’t.
However, you will judge us on how we reach out to others, whether we feed the hungry,
help the sick,
offer hospitality to the stranger, or turn away.
When we have done these things for our neighbors,
you consider that we did them to you.
Forgive us
for the times we have opted to keep to ourselves and not reached out to those around us.
Help us to be more intentional and open to being a blessing to those in our communities.
LORD, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Based on Matthew 25:35-40
