Has the Monster called PTSD snuck into your life? Is self-isolation frequently present in your home? Have you lost a Warrior friend or loved one to suicide? Or are you just wondering why so many Warriors have become part of "Club 22"?
With Veteran Suicide on the rise, Author Leilani Anastasia takes a heartfelt look on how to recognize it and what to do about it. This book explores not only the reasons that many Veterans commit suicide but also ways on how to prevent it. She outlines different types of treatments as well as how to recognize the signs of someone who suffers from Combat trauma and is suicidal. With insights from Veterans themselves as to why they have contemplated suicide, this book is a must-read for anyone who is in a relationship with a Combat Vet or is seeking answers on how to help our nation's Warriors not become a part of the 22 Veterans a day that commit suicide.
Leilani Anastasia is a passionate Self-Help Author. Recently, she authored the “Warrior” series. In this compelling series, Leilani takes a witty approach to helping partners of Combat Veterans navigate the many obstacles that arise in a PTSD relationship.
She also has an interest in other dynamics of the male/female relationship and will write about them as she finds topics of interest. However, her favorite books that she writes are the "Warrior" series because she feels that they are a way to give back to the Military community for their service.
When she isn’t writing, Leilani Anastasia loves cooking healthy (but still delicious) meals. Avidly interested in all things fitness, she also strives to lead an active lifestyle daily. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.
One of the things that became shockingly clear to me while doing my research is that although many Veterans commit suicide, there's an even larger number that die by substance abuse. Is it an intentional and slow and torturous act of self-harm or just a by-product of being an addict?
