Godfrey started barking. I left my office to check things out. The doorbell rang as I entered the living room. That's why I have a dog. Godfrey always knows what's coming before I do. As I passed my Great Aunt Violet's Grandfather clock, I noticed it was already after twelve-thirty. I pulled the bay window curtain away.
