Rome, Italy
Father Antonio was a wrecked man. He had been ruined those many years ago when the thieves had broken in and taken the Holy Relic. The Holy Father never blamed him, not once was there ever any intimation that he had done anything wrong. No... He blamed himself. He had never forgiven himself for not being stronger, for not being able to stop the thieves. Father Antonio had suffered a broken leg and a punctured lung for his efforts to stop the thieves. The Holy Father had praised his courage. It didn’t matter because the Relic was gone. But now there was a chance to recover it. Father Antonio had heard through one of his parishioners that there was to be a sale, an auction to the highest bidder of several Holy Relics, and this was among them. If Father Antonio could get in, take the Relic and get out, he would have redeemed himself.
