Pure hearted Katarina Cross has a simple life plan; finish school and find a job. Everything is on track until Damon Noble walks onto the scene. He’s the sweetest confection she has ever laid eyes on.
Standing in for a friend who runs an escort service, Kat agrees to accompany one man for one night. How hard could it be? All I have to do is smile and look pretty.
After his last girlfriend left a bad taste in his mouth for commitment, Damon nixes the idea of a relationship. He simply orders and pays for what he needs. Why ask for the full menu when you can just order dessert?
A chance meeting, a book club and a penchant for dessert will change everything.
"Life is uncertain. Eat dessert first."

Kelly Collins writes with the intention of keeping the love alive.
Always a romantic, she is inspired by real time events mixed with a dose of fiction. She encourages her readers to reach the happily ever after but bask in the afterglow of the perfectly imperfect love.
Kelly lives in Colorado with her husband of twenty-five years. She loves hockey, shiny objects and has a new-found appreciation for green smoothies.
Don't you hate waiting. It seems like we spend half of our lives waiting. Kat has something very important to address with Damon. It's a matter of life and death. Not literally, but the life and death of her self-esteem. She knows that no matter how long it takes she has to wait. Will the wait be a waste of time or the best investment in her life?

Just Dessert
I am well into my second hour of waiting when I see Greta’s eyes dart to her phone. She picks up the line and responds. “Yes, Mr. Noble. Will there be anything else?” She glances in my direction and I look at her with pleading eyes. “Mr. Noble? There is a young woman by the name of Kat Cross who has been waiting to see you. She doesn’t have an appointment and I have informed her that your schedule is very busy. Will you be able to make time for her sometime today or shall I schedule an appointment for her?” There is a pause as she listens for his answer. “Yes, sir,” she replies. Greta hangs up the phone and walks over to where I’m seated. “Mr. Noble will see you now.”
