"Still haven't mastered your energy control, have you?" Yalu now interrogated her younger sister. Reminding me that although Vixens can change into their Specieal Form of little Fox Spirits, they had to maintain a collected amount of energy to stay in that altered form. Which also required a great amount of control.
"No." Valeryie barked at her sister transforming back into her human form. "It's SO hard."
"I bet it is." I returned trying to settle what felt like was a rising sibling feud. "I know my form doesn't involve much energy to transform into. Although it was difficult to maintain such control over the rest of my abilities that desired an excessive amount of energy all the same."
"How did you learn to control your powers, Cinder?" The younger Vixen enthusiastically probed.
Changing into my human form, I returned, "Through time and patience. It doesn't come as easy as everyone thinks it does. But I am sure with enough devoted time and a great amount of determined patience you will figure out your own way to control your powers."
Seeing Yalu flash a small grin at me while she too morphed back into her human form, I listened to the elder sister continue giving me much gratitude. "Thank you Cinder."
"Well it is true. It takes time and patience, to learn anything. Nothing comes overnight." I half-heartedly lied while we followed along the trail. I knew not everything came as quick to everyone as it did me, but regardless it still encouraged my reasoning.
"True, well except maybe some of the births of Unnaturals." Yalu now teased me as we proceeded to walk along the trail.
Agreeing with her I then questioned, "Vixens are created on the same day of their birth, right?"
"Yeah." The elder Vixen heavily exhaled. "Our parents gave birth to us and raised us till I was fifteen and my sister was seven. Then in order to save us from being caught by the Hunters, we were dropped off at this very Manor, from where I had met Jakob, and Viktor. I knew what was going on, but when I tried to explain it to my little sister it took a long time for her to understand the truth herself."
"I'm sorry." I said not knowing about this part of Yalu's past. However, I knew how her younger sister must have been thinking and feeling: I had gone through a similar pain. Except, her parents didn't drop them off at a Hospital Institute.
"Well we are better off here anyways." Yalu embraced as we reached the end of the trails, finally returning back to the Garden. "My parent's home was raided and they ended up getting killed about three months after they had dropped us off here." Feeling worse, I again apologized to the Vixen. "Don't apologize. It wasn't your fault for what happened. It's those damn humans."
"That’s why you decided to join the Syndicate?" I asked.
"Yeah in a nutshell that is why I joined up with the Syndicate."
"So how did you meet up with your boyfriend Mhykal?" I now eagerly gossiped.
"Oh. Um." Yalu blushed, her face turning a slight shade of red. "I was going out with his current girlfriend when we met, and well that relationship turned into a hell pit pretty fast. After that we both broke it off with her and ended up dating each other off and on for the next few years. Currently we have been together two years without a breakup."
"Just summed it up." I laughed while we entered back inside the large Manor.
"Yeah. I guess I did. It's a complicated history."
