Amy agreed. “Vince always said it wasn’t the value in money but what it represents in lives. To him, it was the souls of those who died in World War II—civilians, military, the people in the camps. The gold would be a testimony to their lives. He didn’t want them forgotten and I am sure he wanted their descendants to have a share of the gold. That’s why I’m going to try and find it. Does that make sense?”
“Yes,” said Sonora. She lifted her crystal glass in a toast to Amy.
