Hassa’s face lit up. “That’s great. Rashid and I are going, too. He wanted to say hello before we left for the desert. He’s been so busy with the business of succession. You know the King is dying, and for the first time, a grandson of Ibn Saud will be selected to be the deputy crown prince since all the sons are dead.”
In spite of herself, Amy found herself asking the question that seemed to be on Sam’s mind. “Hassa, could that be Rashid?”
The princess laughed. “Oh, my friend, more is required than just being a royal grandson. The selected prince must be the most upright among princes. What that means, who knows.”
