The Journey That Led to The Fight We're In

When I wrote those words, I believed them. I did not yet know how true they would turn out to be. That journey took me from a crowded room in Reno in December 2015, where Bernie pointed at the volunteers and said not me, us, to the frozen streets of Iowa, to the convention floor in Philadelphia where the lights went out and we refused to disappear, to union halls and food pantry tables in Oregon. Every person I met taught me something. The man at the mailbox in Lancaster County sorting through bills he could not pay. The delegates standing in the dark in Philadelphia refusing to sit down. The volunteers who show up every week without recognition because the work needs doing. My Journey with Bernie was the beginning of the thread. Ready Set Go! was the next pull. Ten years after that Reno room, I have written the third book in the series. The Fight We're In: Organizing for Power and Change launched on May Day 2026.
