Tears of a Cowgirl: Running from the devil

Katie glanced over at Eddie, who was leaning up against the window, watching the commotion throughout the station. He had no shoes on his feet and was still in his pyjamas, but at least he would be safe, and tomorrow she would worry about getting him some clothes. Luckily, she had a sweater next to her purse, which she threw over her flannel nightgown as they ran out of the house. Her slippers were now full of dirt, and she probably stood out like a sore thumb, but she didn't care as long as they were heading in the opposite direction of her husband.
