Rain of the Wolves
Rayne stared nervously, "Who are they speaking to?"
Trace grinned, "It's their guardian. No one can see her other than them."
Rayne tilted her neck, "That's strange, but it must be helpful."
Trace agreed, then sat silently listening to Akita. "Willow, we won't be able to stop the hunters or find food on this world. What are we supposed to do?"
Willow paused, then spoke, "This world holds secrets. Ones that will benefit your family. You need to make it to Harman Mountain. It's four miles to the mountainside. It won't be easy with the dogs or the hunters on your ass. There'll be a cave along the side, once in it, your scent will go undetected. Inside there's history, yours! Find it, there's a world of knowledge you need to learn."
A sound in the near distance drew Willow's attention, "You should go, they're close."
