Book Excerpt
Waves of Pink II: Common Ground, Uncommon Courage
Cancer has affected me since the day I was born. While my mom was pregnant with me, she didn’t know it yet, but she had breast cancer. After I was born my mom had troubles with breast pain while breastfeeding me. Her pain was dismissed as mastitis and she was sent home. After all, she was only twenty-eight years old and doctors didn’t believe she could have breast cancer at such a young age.
