War is certain if not imminent. The Darkness is growing stronger. Yet Light prevails in a post-rapture and post-apocalyptic world. Emma is a White-Light whose gifts make her unique while putting her in grave danger. When in a moment born of desperation, Emma kills the Shadow-Land’s premier military strategist, the secret of her identity as the killer is born. If the truth is revealed, Emma’s life is in far greater danger than just being a White-Light.
Having learned of a possible attack upon the Children of Light, the Light-Warriors are scrambling to determine the validity and timing of such an attack, in hopes of preventing it. Can Kaiden do both, protect Emma, his Light-Partner and soon-to-be wife, and prevent the attack? God is at work when two unlikely heroes come to the Light Bearers’ aid, and the odds of their success improve.
Meanwhile, in the Shadow-Lands… Hate is a powerful tool and a dangerous weapon that leads to disaster, yet, it is all Nestor has and clings to. He sees Emma as his one resource to attain the greatness he desires and the instrument of his revenge. For the Master, fear is one weapon that he wields without mercy. Yet, he lives in its grip. He has foreseen his death, but he believes he knows how to prevent it. All he needs is a White Light to protect him. He must have her at all costs.
As the world is on course for another war, can our heroes prevent the war?
Jana Smith writes end-time Christian fiction with a hint of romance for women of all ages. She hopes her books inspire her readers to grow their faith, to believe they are special with a divine purpose, and that there is hope for the future. Jana has had stories rumbling around in her head from her earliest memory. Stories that were first ignited by her grandmother’s bedtime tales and later nurtured by her active imagination. Her love of God’s word and interest in Biblical End times theology has led her to write a series of fictional stories dealing with this subject. Jana worked in medical research and has a BSc and a Master’s degree. Now, she focuses much of her time on writing, but when not writing, she is an avid amateur photographer and loves to knit for her children and grandchildren, who bring her great joy. Jana lives with her husband in South-Western Ontario, in the home her father built. It is a place of peace and serenity, a place of reflection and contemplation. A place where stories are born and released to a life of their own.
In book 3 of the Children of Light series, we meet the Master (ask Anilka Ashanti). He has an ongoing nightmare where he sees his death. His belief is that if he finds the person responsible and subdues them, or finds protection against their gifts, he will overcome his death and find eternity.
It is a mistaken belief, but it is what drives him to find Emma and use her as his protection. She is a White-Light, which means she is the most powerful of all the Light Warriors. If he had her at his side, he believes she would overcome the Light Warrior destined to doom him to his death.
Will he succeed? Will Emma prevail and free the world of this malevolent being? Will she prevent that war that is destined to kill thousands?

Children of Light - Book 3 - Orphan Lights
His preoccupation with the battle below distracted him from what went on behind. A hissing noise brought him to attention, and he tore himself away from the battle scene below. Spinning, he faced a Light-Warrior. A man who surpassed his height and build stood before him, alone. Anilka searched for his Salim, but all he noted were piles of ash being blown about by the ever-persistent winds. Then the warrior turned to look behind him. Anilka sent his ‘death wish’ upon the man, but to his surprise, the man remained standing. As a last resort, he reached for his trusted blade, but before he could unsheathe the long blade, the warrior launched a pure white globe at him, which struck him, engulfing him in painful light.
