Flashes of red and blue arrived at the scene as I was put onto a stretcher,
Going in and out of consciousness, I was experiencing a drug overdose.
Wondering if I was going to live at this point, my life flashed before my eyes,
The EMTs kept talking to me as I was barely coherent with what they were saying.
Everything was so blurry, chances are my heart stopped at some point,
As they were trying to resuscitate me and bring me back to life.
That coke did me in as I sniffed a good amount, angels must’ve been with me,
I felt my mother’s presence looking over me as my vision was blurry.
She was a guardian angel with wings and I thought the coke had me hallucinating,
But I was wrong as she rode with me in that ambulance to the hospital.
I could hear her voice telling me everything was going to be okay,
That I was going to get past this and she would be with me the whole way.
How was she going to do that for me when she wasn’t physically here?
Her spirit could help me fight but her warm hug was what I needed.
