The end of this book was written with thought and precision. It's Gary's last hurrah to try and make up for the cases he was part of covering up. This is an opportunity for him to move up and do some different cases with higher government organizations. He thinks these are cases that he can have more impact but there's decisions to be made about his future.

Code Blue An Oath to the Badge and Gun
I was asked to come into the conference room for a meeting before I left work,
Wondering what was the reason for it, as I was really worried.
I walk into the conference room where my bosses were already sitting in there,
They all looked and seemed calm as I had already changed and was heading out.
My stomach started churningk as I was preparing for the worst,
The meeting started with them asking me a few questions about the job.
After a few minutes, they gave me an offer to take on a position,
It meant more money, responsibility and the chance to grow on the force.
They asked me to become a special assistant to the Federal Bureau of Investigation,
My eyes became bigger as this is something I’ve waited for, for the longest time.
There were some stipulations that came with joining forces with them,
I was being told I’d have to do a lot of covering up of cases and following special orders.
