Code Blue An Oath to the Badge and Gun

After the shooting that occurred and the media circus,

It feels good to get back to normal in our city.

The national media coverage wasn’t totally expected,

But we handled it very well and I appreciate it greatly.

The justice system prevailed and our officers were acquitted,

Now they can get back to their normal lives doing their jobs.

It will be hard for them to be out in public,

We must do what we can to protect our officers in blue.

I commend you all for the hard work that you do,

But there are some things that need to be done in the next few weeks.

Some of you haven’t met your quotas for the month,

You all know what that consists of, arrests, tickets, etc.
