Code Blue An Oath to the Badge and Gun

I’m speechless right now, I don’t know what to say,

I’m astonished by these bulletins from our police chief.

I’ve been on the force for a few years now,

Never have I read such disgusting words from someone.

We’re being paid to to corrupt things and it’s scary,

What has this world come to and why am I in the middle of it?

This is starting to take a toll on my mind at this point,

I can’t even think straight anymore, it’s really crazy.

It was a while before this shooting happened,

As I remember this, it shakes me to the core.

It was a cold, rainy night, it was a full moon too,

We were all on patrol making our rounds through neighborhoods.

Then, the call came into from dispatch that changed everything,

There was a robbery that occurred at a grocery store.
