Corporate America Wealth (the Holidays)

The greed, it never ends for us, no one even realizes it,

All to get you in our stores to buy things.

Corporate America oh how we are wealthier than ever,

Do you really believe the economy has been struggling the past few years?

No one has stopped to think about all of the holidays we make money,

Valentine’s Day, Christmas, Halloween, Easter, 4^th of July, President’s Day.

There are more but you know where I’m going with this,

There’s always some sales or deals going on during the holidays.

Easter, you’re spending money to get baskets and candy,

Most of you don’t even know the purpose of the holiday.

Halloween you spend money on a costume you wear once,

Next year, you repeat the same cycle, buying a new costume.

On Valentine’s Day, Hallmark, Godiva and Build-A-Bear make millions,

There goes the money out of your pocket, just like that.

Christmas, oh that’s the big money making holiday,

It’ll just take too much time and it’ll take up this whole poem.

4^th of July and President’s Day are clothes stores with sales,

Along with all of the car companies trying to get you to lease something new.

Money is always going to be made all of the time,

We know how to sucker you into buying something you don’t need.

Corporate greed is what we call it, don’t be fooled,

It’s all about getting your hard earned money back into ours.
