Flashback to 2015
I was so excited about Bishop Keith Butler’s message yesterday! I saw the Bishop preach a similar message in ’04 at my old church (Dr. Mike Freeman’s church in MD). That was when I first heard him talk about having “seed in the ground” and increasing your giving to meet the needs in your life.
Last year or so ago, the Holy Spirit began dealing with me about dramatically increasing my giving above tithes and regular offerings. That, combined with my current pastor’s “I-give” fundraising drive, helped me to greatly increase what I sow into the church and into my pastor, etc.
I can tell you that amazing things have happened this year as a result. My daughter Abby is a freshman in a college that cost $58,000 a year. I couldn’t afford it. I was led by the Holy Spirit last year to increase my giving, to sow a special seed.
This is the process Bishop Butler described in ’04 and again in service yesterday: seek God’s direction on where to sow a significant seed and then wait for the promised harvest. This year my daughter received roughly $46,000 in scholarships, grants, etc.!!! I have been paying the last $12K in monthly cash installments—no loans!
I previously shared my new house testimony and how I got roughly $7,300 from the lender and the seller, and a $6,150 “gift” from a mystery source (via the lender) to get my house. I have shared how I got one of my dream cars (convertible BMW) for $6,500, at a great rate, with a monthly payment of less than $125, while cutting the interest rate on my other car in half.
But I had not shared one of the keys to how I got these blessings. It was all the things the Bishop was talking about yesterday with regard to sowing seed plus embracing the prophetic word about this year as a “due season” for leverage, acceleration, promotion, expecting things to be paid for, provision and revelation. AND THE YEAR IS NOT OVER!
