Subtracting Tithing's Supernatural Promises
Malachi 3:8-12 “’Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. ‘But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ ‘In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,’ says the Lord Almighty.” I have gone to churches where they substitute “generosity” or “giving generously” for “tithing.” In these churches, they talk about supporting the important work of the ministry within the church and the community. In these churches, the good and noble work of the church is rightfully exalted. I go to a church that uses the term “tithe” but doesn’t connect it with any of the supernatural promises/rewards that God instructs us to “test” Him to provide. I’d rather they water it down and call it generosity with no expectation of reward than call it “tithing” and subtract God’s promises to the tither.

I spend a great deal of time in this book digging into the many Scriptures that reveal the heart of God as it pertains to His plan of provision for us. Prosperity preaching has acquired a bad reputation, and, yes, some have misused its principles. But the devil has always planted the counterfeit to diminish or distract from the genuine. This book will give the reader a greater revelation of a God whose love is the foundation of His plan of provision for us.
