NDEs and God

We all need to know God as our adopting Father more deeply. This requires us to ponder what we learn about His character and nature from NDE descriptions.

1. NDE of a young mother who died during surgery.

(She is answering questions about her NDE put to her on an NDERF form.)

Did you see, or feel surrounded by, a brilliant light? A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin.

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes, just beautiful.

During your experience, did you gain information about an afterlife? Yes. The Light made it clear that there was life after death and we laughed how people thought death was the end.

Did you come to a border or point of no return? I came to a barrier that I was not permitted to cross; and was sent back (to Earth) against my will. The Light said that I had to return.

Did scenes from the future come to you? Scenes from my personal future – Yes.

So…. what can we learn about God by thinking over her NDE? That is the rub – we need to uncover and discover more about God than that He can present to us when being “just” a bright Light to us.

What further can we deduce about Him? We find from her statement that “we laughed” that God has a sense of humour - and also that His shining Light is beautiful.

Further, that He controls who is to stay in the afterlife and who should return.

He knows too in detail what our personal future is going to be and can show us some of it in advance.

Knowing God better is cumulative and this quick analysis is more helpful if done by you after each NDE you hear about, including if you have had an NDE yourself. I will not do a simple analysis about God after each NDE account in this book, but encourage you to do so quickly - for yourself - such that your adopting Father becomes someone you grow to know much more about and more intimately. After all, you might be spending eternity with Him…
