The term “God” evokes different understanding across the globe, but it is the Christian model of who God really is that best fits the facts of human experience. Therefore, this book adopts the Christian concept of God as a working model in order to probe who we really are, where we really came from, and what our most likely destiny really is.
Consequently, ultimate realities are what this book is about.
The Christian model for “God” is that, for hugely significant reasons, God presents Himself to us in three understandable and knowable personalities – as a Father, as a Son, and as a Holy Spirit. The first two – a loving Father and a Son – are well within human experience and comprehension – while the Holy Spirit is less readily understood unless we have experienced Him for ourselves and have shared experiences with Him, as countless millions have done around the globe.
The Holy Spirit is generally an invisible ‘supernatural’ reality beyond the merely physical realities that we live in.
The Holy Spirit thereby provides a supernatural link for us to a level of ultimate existence that answers our “why?” questions, while our physical existence on earth can only answer questions on the levels of “what, when, where, how did that happen” and suchlike.
Consequently, the Holy Spirit acts as a signpost to an existence beyond our common experiences on earth; to a spiritual existence in fact.
