Whether we pray with a little faith or a lot, the key to experiencing power is Jesus Christ. He must be the object of our faith. When we put our complete trust in Him instead of someone or something else, we have hope.
No matter how small our faith may feel at times, we must boldly go to God with confidence believing in Him. Consider what Jesus said to His disciples when they were struggling with their faith.
And He said to them, ‘Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.’
—Matthew 17:20
For years I had always considered myself a problem solver. I could always find a way to figure things out or “make it happen.” One thing I’ve hated being told is that I could not accomplish a particular task.
However, it took me being helpless, lying in a hospital bed unable to sit up on my own, to take the “me” out of the equation and pray submissively in faith to God.
