Prayer channels the power that gives us as Christians the energy to function efficiently and perform the duties God asks of us. When we neglect or become lax in our prayer life, our power and effectiveness as Christians are diminished.
I will reveal how this power changes lives and how this power can be unleashed in your life through prayer.
The God of the Bible—who parted the Red Sea, created Adam from dust of the earth and woman from his rib, and sent down fire from Heaven when Elijah prayed for it—is the same God to whom we pray. We can access His power every day.
The power of prayer manifests itself in many ways. It is so much more than just asking God for help. (Although, that is always a great place to start; you should go to God first in every situation you encounter.) Prayer also fosters your relationship with God. Your love for Him grows deeper as you talk with Him and desire to speak with Him every day.
There is an intimacy that develops between you and God when you go to Him in love and not obligation. You feel empowered when your relationship with Him grows. God returns your love for Him by showering you with blessings and strengthening your faith in Him.
