Carnal Moon
“Is your interest mainly professional or is there a personal preference to BDSM, also?” Nick asked.
A fresh bloom colored Gwen’s cheeks. “A little of both. I appreciate the artistic value, but the subject fascinates me. It’s led me to books about BDSM. ” Where was the verbal courage coming from? The way Nick regarded her, she suspected his interest in bondage was also more than professional. And how far did that extend?
“That’s how most people are in the beginning.” Nick wore a knowing smile. “Eventually, they need more than books and photos.”
They passed a well-dressed couple relaxing on a white couch. The woman’s elegant ebony dress was accessorized by a black collar connected via a silver chain held in the lap of the man next to her. As they talked inaudibly to each other, neither took notice of the world around them.
“I support those who dare to explore their taboo side,” Nick said. “So long as it’s with full understanding and consent, I see nothing wrong with it.”
They paused before a small grouping of hanging walls primarily featuring Nick’s photographs. Her eyes fell on one of a nude woman suspended face down by bright, colorful ropes. “Your colors are always so vivid.” She gazed up at Nick. “Your models are gorgeous.”
Nick leaned closer and whispered into her ear. “I think you’re far more stunning than any of the women I use.” He held his face close to hers as she peered up at him. “I did warn you.”
“Yes, you did,” Gwen breathed. Nick inclined close enough to kiss her. She knew it was too soon for that, but the idea had taken root.
