Too often we do so many things for others and get so involved in our really busy lives that we neglect ourselves. If you have been multitasking—doing a variety of things at the same time—you may be producing a lot of stress. Slow down. Stop. Give yourself time to pull yourself back and say, “Okay, all this is going on, but where am I? Who am I? Where do I want to go? Who do I want to be?”
Next, take a look at where you are now with regard to your “zest” for life. When you are engaged in expressing your passion and purpose, you will automatically experience vitality.

2. Do you regularly laugh wholeheartedly?
3. Do you practice following your dreams?
4. Do you take time to meditate, reflect, journal?
5. Do you have emotionally healthy people in your life?
6. Do you feel enlivened through regular exercise?
7. Do you have a fulfilling spiritual practice?
8. Do you feel that you and others appreciate you, your life?
9. Does your recreation time re-set your stress levels?
10. Are you able to say “no” to situations and people that would cause imbalance to your life?
How many of these questions did you answer yes to?
Now that you have a sense of your abundance or lack of passion or aliveness in your life, the next step is to build a foundation to increase your sense of aliveness and at the same time acknowledge what people, situations or attitudes are robbing you of your feelings of passion and purpose.
