THE OCEAN’S ROAR FILLED POSEIDON’S EARS AS HE STRODE ACROSS THE PRISTINE beach, his feet sinking into the ivory sand with each step. The waves crashed and foamed before him in an endless rhythm, the azure waters glittering under the high sun. For a moment he paused, breathing in the briny air, a sense of peace washing over him.
Further down the beach, a young woman glided along the tide line, her gaze cast downward as she collected seashells in a woven basket. Her skin glowed golden in the sunlight, complementing her long blonde hair that cascaded down her back in gentle waves. She wore a simple white chiton, cinched at the waist with a braided belt.
Poseidon watched her, curiosity stirring within him. There was something familiar in the way she moved, her bare feet leaving fleeting impressions on the damp sand. She appeared to be connected to this shore. His brow furrowed. Who was she?
Poseidon’s gaze followed every graceful movement as she moved across his domain. Smitten by her beauty, and with curiosity about who this ethereal being was, appearing upon his shores. His heart warmed at the sight of this wondrous creature, who had arrived from somewhere beyond his ken. Infatuated by an unexpected surge of lighthearted excitement, he drew closer to see if he could discern where she came from and how she had gained such an incredible glow.
The young maiden couldn’t believe her eyes as she watched an enormous man climb out of the ocean, his black hair cascading down his face like waves and seaweed adorning his powerful body. Fear struck in her heart as he stepped forward, but his beauty and grace transfixed her. His deadly trident glinted in the sun, and she wondered what such a mighty weapon meant for her.
Poseidon’s voice is gentle yet demanding. “Who are you? What brings you here?”
Her reply was soft and melodic. “I am Cleito, daughter of Euenor and Leucippus, who live here on this island. And who are you?”
The gentle giant and Cleito’s eyes met. The god of the sea smiled. “I am Poseidon.” He put his hand on his heart and bowed. He stared at her for a moment longer, disbelief written across his features.
Poseidon’s eyes widened when he heard “Leucippus.” He wondered if it could be the same young water nymph he had once known. She, along with her sisters, were companions of Persephone when Hades had abducted the damsel.
“Wait.” He tried to stop her from leaving him by the sea. “Let me wash this seaweed from my hair.” He picked up his trident and bounded into the water, throwing off a shawl of seaweed in an instant that cloaked his body like a warm embrace. A rivulet of water snaked down his leg as it splashed into the tide behind him. The sun glistened on his golden trident, a testament to his power. After washing away the remnants of the sea’s embrace, he stuck his trident deep into the sand.
The thought lingered in his mind. Curiosity led him onward, and with each step toward Cleito, he approached not only her but also the possibility of a connection that transcended time.
As she watched him approach unarmed, Cleito’s heart began to thump as she realized something was about to change. She urged, “Come meet my family; I can tell you will be welcome!”
Poseidon relaxed at the invitation. “Let me retrieve my trident. It will help me protect you and your family.”
They walked up the trail together, leaving the sandy shore behind and entering a realm of vibrant foliage and mystical energy. A lush canopy of towering trees seemed to reach out with curious branches and painted the landscape with an array of colors.
Jasmine and gardenia grew in abundance, lacing the air with floral scents, while meandering Andara crystals glowed from within, infused with life-giving properties that enhanced their beauty.
High above, tropical birds with feathers that shone like pearls soared through the sky. The calls of marlinspikes, parrots, and bosun birds filled the air, an orchestral symphony that echoed through the woodland—a living testament to the harmony of nature.
Within just a few paces, Poseidon’s steps faltered as he neared his goal. His chest tightened at the sight before him: Cleito had just emerged from a copse of brush. Emotions surged through him as he gazed into her familiar yet strange eyes.
“Why am I so joyful? I am tingling all over.” His eyes widened with pleasure as he noticed the hair on his arms standing up.
Cleito smiled as she turned to the giant man, whose eyes glowed with delight. “Our paradise sits on one of the planet’s ley lines of cosmic energy that make up the Earth’s electromagnetic field. The landmass rests on a spiraling force that raises the vibration of the earth. High energy helps balance the chakras of our bodies, keeping us healthier.”
She pointed out the large crystals scattered across the grass. “Look at the Andara. These are high-frequency crystals from a distant galaxy. Each color has its own healing frequency. They like the high vortex of the soil and grow here.”
