Perusing the classroom for candidates, Albert drew nearer to Raka’s desk. Raka/Meiss glanced up and watched the young man with interest. As he stared at him, Raka’s perception of Albert seemed to blur. The professor took off his glasses, rubbed his eyes, and blinked several times. With his spectacles off, Raka’s intuitive vision suddenly asserted itself. This had happened to him from time to time, and he had no control over it;
The dragon in human body suddenly froze when he saw Albert’s features morph. Raka’s eyes widened as the boy’s features took on a familiar form. Raka knew past life existences could superimpose themselves over a physical body in intuitive sight. But he was not prepared for what Albert’s features had transformed into. Raka saw that Albert had apparently been Arka, his identical twin brother from their lifetime on Poseidon.
The dragon gasped. The old memories of that lifetime overwhelmed his awareness. He whirled away to hide his reaction. “NO, NO, NO, this cannot be!” he shouted silently in his mind.
Raka found himself traveling backward in his thoughts to when he was living on Poseidon. He had been a renowned spiritual scientist, but when a genetics experiment went terribly awry, he ended up in this dragon form. He had hated it at first, but his hatred had been replaced by a bitter satisfaction, realizing he was powerful enough to extract hideous vengeance on those in puny human form.
As he remembered, his rage toward his twin brother awakened. His breathing quickened and he glanced down to see his nails growing into dragon claws. He sucked in two gasping breaths to contain himself. Slowly his temper calmed and his dragon claws returned to human fingernails. Taking in another calming breath, he tucked away his hatred for the moment and turned back to face the class.
He cleared his throat. “Gentlemen open your workbooks to page 136.” The murmuring in the class fell silent as the students sought the assigned page in their books. Raka/Meiss turned to Albert. “Herr. Einstein since your lab colleague Miss Maric is not here, I will partner with you for this exercise."
