What Are Priorities?
Now take some time and honestly look at your priorities. Listed below are ten activities. Rank them in the order of their importance in your life, with one being the most important and ten the least important. If there are any additional activities not listed, write them in.
•Play
•Work
•School
•Friends
•Children
•God/Prayer
•Food/Nutrition
•Community Service
•Spouse
•Rest/Sleep
I believe in the Golden Rule, which means to love God with all your body, mind, and soul and your neighbor as yourself. That means to me that I must love myself and take care of myself first before I can really take care of others. My priorities look like this:
•Food/Nutrition
•Sleep/Rest
•Spouse
•Children
•Work
•Play
•Friends
•Community Service
•School
Now, compare your list of priorities and lifestyle to the one shown above. How are they different? How are they similar?
While it is fine to put other things before God, you may not experience the oneness you are thirsting for.

If having God is an issue, then use the practice of Gratitude. Begin your day with 3 things you are grateful for.
