Now that I’ve told you who this book is intended for, let me fill you in on how I’ve come to write it.
For many years, I made numerous decisions based on multiple choices using a systematic approach. I codified the process, making it easy to understand and simple to apply. I use this approach to help me make significant and impactful decisions when I make purchases, go about my business tasks, and make decisions in my personal life. I also use this approach extensively in my consulting practice. I teach my clients how to use it when they have difficult decisions to make and help them to apply it in specific situations. This approach has successfully led me and my clients to the best decisions we can possibly make.
Yet, it has not always been this way. Before I began to consult on this topic, in the early 2000s, I made some not-so-well-thought-out decisions, as well as some of what I call “Wile E. Coyote Genius” decisions. Honestly, I have made many decisions that were not prudent and left me wondering what I was thinking.
