Paranoia 44
Paranoia creeps in like a thief in the night,
Stealing any peace and filling nerves with fright.
Every shadow, every sound, every glance,
It makes me feel like a devil in a deadly dance.
Mind starts races with thoughts of conspiracy,
As everyone only sees you and is going to get you.
Seeing visions of danger lurking in every bend,
And wonder when this madness will ever end.
You will check and double-check every lock & key,
Ensuring your safety is your priority.
Afraid that every light someone is watching you,
A prisoner in your own mind, nowhere to escape.
Trapped by fear that is hard to unwind or unsee.
Paranoia is cruel and relentless like a friend or foe.
Long, for the day when you can set yourself free,
Even if you do, you will never let go of your fears.
From cell to hell is constant state of self-anxiety,
Paranoia has taken you; you are no longer in control.
Every moon, you hear the see the sounds nearby,
Every sun, you see their steps, stepping closer.
No matter where you try to turn, so far lost,
You are at the point of no return.
