“Nick,” said Julian, his voice hesitant. “Talk to me?”
But Nick didn’t want to talk. He’d been talking for forever to his therapist. The coldness never left him and he almost broke apart sitting there, next to Julian. He wanted to be normal again; to walk around and see the beauty in life and be free of the suffocating fear, guilt, and loneliness.
His eyes met Julian’s, watched the heat and desire kindle and flame in those green eyes that haunted his dreams, and without thinking, Nick cupped the nape of Julian’s neck and pulled him close, their lips barely touching. “No talking.” Without waiting for a response, he crushed his mouth over Julian’s.
Julian moaned his acceptance and pressed his mouth harder against Nick’s, opening his lips, giving Nick’s tongue free access. Nick plunged inside Julian’s mouth, tangling with Julian’s velvety smooth tongue, drinking in his wet heat. Long-dormant emotions thundered through Nick and his blood heated. He gently touched Julian’s face, skimming his fingertips across Julian’s cheekbones, brushing up against his brow, while his mouth moved harsher and more firmly against Julian’s.
“Fuck, you taste amazing.” Nick broke away, gasping, and pushed Julian underneath him on the couch, straddling him, then leaning down to attack his mouth again. With a long, wet lick of his tongue, Nick kissed and nuzzled a hot trail down Julian’s neck, nipping at his throat and sucking the tender skin by Julian’s ear. Julian writhed beneath him, his groans escalating in the quiet apartment.
“Hold still,” muttered Nick. He sucked the lobe of Julian’s ear in his mouth and bit down on in lightly. The sound of Julian’s cry of pleasure beneath him caused Nick’s cock to throb. His hands roamed over Julian’s torso, touching him lightly, feeling the hardness of muscle, the softness of his skin. It was a wonder to him to have this man in his arms after all these years. His fingers circled the flat pad of Julian’s nipple and tweaked the tip.
Julian squeaked underneath him, then croaked out in a disbelieving voice, “Hold still? Are you fucking kidding me?”
Nick grinned, his heart suddenly lighter than it had been for years. He braced himself on his arms and rotated his hips, rubbing his dampening, jean clad erection over Julian’s. The pain and longing in Julian’s bright green gaze almost took Nick’s breath away.
“You fucking broke my heart the last time you walked away from me, Nick. Don’t you dare disappear on me again.”
