They walked up to the door and tried the knob. It was locked. “Looks like we might have to park in the garage,” Gary said.
Stacy put her hand on the door, first on the glass and then on the wood of the doorframe. The building shimmered slightly and the door lock clicked. “You just have to have the right touch,” Stacy said.
She opened the door where the swirling portal of changing rooms immediately greeted the couple. Stacy grabbed Gary’s hand and said, “I want us to go through together.”
Gary held tight to Stacy’s hand, looked into her eyes and then stepped through the doorway with her.
An instant later, Gary stood in the waiting room. Stacy’s hand was no longer in his, and she was nowhere to be seen.
