It’s not surprising that a world-class university like Cornell and the uber-powerful agricultural lobby can combine to thoroughly crush the most marginalized and unrepresented sector of New York State’s population. It’s also not surprising that no one is willing to stand up for us.
When Cornell’s rural policy planner publicly stated that no one but farmers “deserved to live there,” she helped lay the groundwork for Tompkins County’s most recent “vision of the future”: one in which the present rural community no longer exists.
With an elitist policymaking that has closer ties to the Khmer Rouge than the Constitution, Tompkins County is a college destination with the sort of moral compass that lands people a spot on American Greed.
What is The Secret Cornell?
It’s a betrayal of trust that makes the College Admissions Scandal seem like throat-clearing at a political rally.

If someone were to ask you to do something; if there were even the smallest chance of it injuring your child – you would say; “No, I won’t gamble with the life of my child.” But when technologies inherently risk all life on earth – you are willing to take that small chance; for a small benefit. If words like “Extinction,” and “Apocalypse” are written too big for anything but videogames and movies: you need to step back a bit. We now have the power to do incalculable things — and we have authorities who are eager to use that power. Government isn’t impersonal; it’s personal. It’s a matter of life and death. . . Better than any excuse is not needing to make one. Lansing’s rural community is unacknowledged to the point of non-existence. Planners and politicians don’t need to defend their actions publicly; because there is no public awareness of their crimes. Nobody will talk about it, or acknowledge the receipt of anything that should be talked about.
My attempts to get publicity or awareness of the situation in the media has everywhere been stonewalled. My recent communications with an Ithaca newspaper resulted in “send a pitch” – there was no further response to my emails.
Does the idea of a concerted and widespread repression seem far-fetched?
With 900,000 seniors dead from COVID-19; how many stories have you read about the virus being used to speed up inheritance?
