Gary Westman smiled. “I got some of their seeds, James. Free seeds will save me a lot of money.”
“Please don’t use them, Gary. Don’t plant them.”
“Why not?” Gary asked. “They’ve promised bigger crops that are disease-resistant and more productive. What can be wrong with that?”
James grasped for words that would help Gary understand. “Those seeds are not from God. We don’t know what their genetic material contains.” James set his coffee mug on the table and looked into Gary’s eyes. “Could you please not use them, Gary? Please?” he begged.
