James paused again to let his words sink in. Then he continued. “I know that isn’t what you came to hear, brethren. You wanted me to tell you that there are no aliens—or ‘extraterrestrial biological entities,’ as my son and his friend Pat call them. Brethren, I can’t do that. Believe me, I searched my Bible every waking minute since the elders asked me to preach on this, and the Bible says nothing about aliens. It doesn’t say they exist, and it doesn’t say they don’t.
