World Eternal: Perils

“History of South Pole Base 1” showed on the monitor screen. Next they saw a panorama of the sky that zeroed in on the Taurus Constellation, showing a star that Jim recognized as Aldebaran. A sphere of light emanated from Aldebaran and headed toward Earth, and upon reaching Earth, it landed in Germany. The light infused itself into a pretty blond woman.

            The date 1919 in two-inch letters popped up, and shining letters in a Greek font filled the rest of the screen. Jim made out the letters VRIL. Two pictures of different flying saucers dated 1924 and 1930 were on the next slides. Then came pictures of scientists in a laboratory.

            What happened next stunned Jim. A swastika symbol filled the screen, followed by pictures of Adolph Hitler speaking to crowds, raising his iron fist to armies of saluting soldiers.
