“I saw you run out,” James said. “Are you okay?”
“I think so. Just got a little light-headed. Or something.”
“It’s been a day of celebration. We’re so happy you’ve decided to become a Christian.”
“I can’t,” he said, covering his face with his hands.
James sat down beside him and put his arm around his shoulders. “Why not?”
“Because…because I’m not good enough.” He shook his head. “I have evil thoughts. I’m too bad for God to forgive me.”
